Three very cool write-ups about our Voki sites appeared in the trades today:
MediaWeek’s Katy Bachman gave us top billing (over CBS) and some great industry perspective here.
DMNews ran a quick blurb about WFBC’s “Singing B”
Radio Online also mentioned it.
When we do cool, relevant things that serve our audience on our websites, the media notices, as do our site visitors!
EDITED Feb. 27th TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
In the MediaWeek article, I am quoted as saying “Radio station Web sites deserve the bad rap they’ve had.” Did I say this? Yes? Do I feel that way? Speaking generally, I’m sure many of us probably do. Was it a wise way to formulate my thought? No.
A better way of saying this would have been: “Entercom is striving to set new standards for what a radio station website can represent to our listeners…check us out, we’re making headway!”
I promise to try and not use negative formulations, and I apologize if reading that bummed anyone out (in addition to me and our CEO).
