  • Showcase of Awesome Flipper Slides

Our San Francisco web guru Bob McDiarmid recently came up with a great idea: everyone share their best flippers with each other. Here are some of the ones people sent around. Please feel free to share more in the comments. Thanks for inspiring each other!

From Bob McDiarmid in San Francisco

This flipper just exploded off the page with its People Magazine-y quality. It also tied into the fundraising Goal for our resident marathon-running mid-days DJ. I’ve been experimenting with using splashes of feminine colour within the colour set of our site (warm browns and yellows and black)

  • 107.9 The End (KDND) Sacramento Music Site 2.0 Launches!

    Dan Muzyka 10:29 am on December 11, 2009 | 0 Permalink | Reply

I’d like to congratulate Josh Pusateri, the folks at 107.9 The End, and the Entercom Digital team on the successful launch of the KDND 107.9 The End music 2.0 site.

Launching this site involved transferring a huge volume of content, in particular posts from their morning show, The Wake Up Call. Now the show not only has its old content transferred to the new site, but it also has an amazing page showcasing its blogs, News of the Weird audio segments, videos, and Twitter/Facebook/MySpace pages. Visit their page. The site also has tons of photo galleries, including lots of great pictures from their recent Jingle Ball 2009 concert. The End brought over masses of entertaining blog posts from all of the station talent, video blog posts, and concert videos. There is no shortage of reasons to visit this site!

This is the final music site in Sacramento to switch to the new platform. Congratulations Josh and team for completing the transition!

The site includes blogs with commentary about music news and funny observations about current events; great-looking photos of parties and concerts in the photo galleries; audio clips of interviews with celebrities such as KISS; and profiles of the Bayou Babes. This is the final music site in New Orleans to switch to the new platform. Congratulations Annette and team for completing the transition!

  • WLKK 107.7 The Lake Buffalo web site 2.0 launches

I want to congratulate Heather Harwood, Hank Dole, and the Entercom Digital team on the successful launch of the WLKK 107.7 The Lake music site 2.0! You can view the new site at http://www.1077thelake.com/.

Heather designed a stunningly beautiful site you’ll enjoy not only for its aesthetic value, but for its content as well. Check out the in-studio performances in the videos section and the information about the Lake Local Music Initiative. They were also able to integrate their existing EveryZing audio-on-demand site with the new platform.

The station has only two in-house talent, yet the team in Buffalo was able to put together a solid site. Well done!

I want to congratulate Chris Shaw, Matty Swanson, the rest of the WSMW team and Entercom Digital on the successful launch of the 98.7 Simon music site 2.0 launch! You can view the new site at http://www.987simon.com/.

This site has some great-looking graphics that really add some visual flair. Check out their flipper slides, the graphic above the video player on their home page, and the header images at the top of pages such as the Concerts page, the Events and Appearances page, the Tunes at Noon page, and others.

The station also did a thorough job setting up lots of photo galleries with great content. They found some really fun content to include. Be sure to check out the Bear Sightings 09 gallery, National Cow Appreciation Day with Chick-Fil-A, and The Adventures of Hotdog Man.

This site is another great example of collaboration between station personnel, a local webmaster, and Entercom Digital. Matty and Chris were both very actively involved in the site development process and their efforts made the site launch go smoothly. Thanks guys for another great site from Greensboro.
