I’d like to congratulate Annette Wade, the folks at Bayou 95.7, and the Entercom Digital team on the successful launch of the Bayou 95.7 music 2.0 site.

The site includes blogs with commentary about music news and funny observations about current events; great-looking photos of parties and concerts in the photo galleries; audio clips of interviews with celebrities such as KISS; and profiles of the Bayou Babes. This is the final music site in New Orleans to switch to the new platform. Congratulations Annette and team for completing the transition!

  • Vortal 3 Software Update – 11-16-2009

    Jen 9:39 am on November 17, 2009 | 0 Permalink | Reply

    Greetings Webmasters,

Today we launched the first piece of our new “Favorites” functionality which will be used in various components of Vortal 3.

With this first roll-out, Feature Groups now have “Favorites”.  When you designate a Feature Group as a “Favorite” it is automatically sent to the top of the Feature Group listing screen and listed first in the Feature lightwindow (in the carousel).  This is a great tool for stations that have numerous Feature Groups or just those users that use the same Features Groups every day!
    • Additionally, favorites are unique for each user!  So a favorite that you set will only be for your login.
    • If you have multiple Feature Groups designated as favorites, they will be listed alphabetically at the top of the listing followed by your normal feature groups.
Please view this short tutorial on Feature Group favorites.   http://help.intertechmedia.com/pages/5685060.php

As always, please let us know if you have any questions!

    Thank you,

  • Thanksgiving holiday display traffic schedule

    Jen 6:24 pm on November 16, 2009 | 0 Permalink | Reply

Hi all, Thanksgiving is coming up next week (yum!) so the office will be closed next Thursday and Friday, which means there are five days that need to be trafficked in advance.  Therefore, to ensure all the campaigns will be trafficked to start on time they need to be submitted early via the survey system with all correct creatives.

Please make a note of these deadlines:

    - All display banner campaigns that start Thursday, Nov 26th through Tuesday, Dec. 1st   need to be submitted by
12:00 noon pacific time Monday, Nov 23rd.

    - Any orders that start Monday 11/23 or  Tuesday 11/24 must be submitted by 12:00noon Thursday, 11/19.

    Also note:
    - As always, orders must be submitted a minimum of 2 Business days in advance of start date using the traffic survey system.
    - We cannot guarantee that any campaign requests (new campaigns and changes to existing campaigns) received on Wednesday, 11/25 will be processed before the end of day on Tuesday, 12/1. It will depend on how many orders we get in advance before Wednesday.
    - Please make sure all the creatives you submit are correct prior to sending them to ensure a quick turnaround.

I will be taking vacation days Monday-Wednesday, 11/23-25 so I will not be available to set up new page tags and other advertising implementation or conduct any training next week.  Please keep this in mind and send me your special requests by Wednesday, Nov 17th  to ensure time to get them processed.
I am thankful to all of you for your cooperation in adhering to this schedule.

Have a healthy and happy Thanksgiving holiday.

  • 4 2.0 website launches this week!

    Admin 11:24 am on November 13, 2009 | 0 Permalink | Reply

    Heya all,

I’m happy to report a great week for the web staff in Austin, Greensboro, Greenville and Sacramento along with the busy bees in the Digital staff all working hard to wrap up 2.0 websites.

This project has matched a record we held in April for launching four 2.0 webtsites in a week.  Nice Job!   Those of you who have worked on this project with the Digital staff understand the chalenging path it takes in order to launch one of these sites.  So cudos to the following stations:

KAMX Austin (Dave Munoz)http://www.mix947.com – This site must have the most prolific blogger in the company in Heather Rivera.  Her blog is named “Heather’s Thingies“, of all things.  Heather had to port over 1100 posts from her old blog into the blogs on RadioTown.   The shear number of posts actually broke the import script in WordPress it was so big. WOW!

WQMG Greensboro (Christopher Shaw)http://www.wqmg.com – I gotta dig the “Ol School Video of the Day”.  Good stuff for the old.  Still waiting for The Humpty Dance to show.  (I’ve dated myself)

WSPA Greenville (Tracy West) - http://www.magic989online.com – Three words.  Ho ho ho!   On top of that, I always dig adding audio offerings on the home page. Stacy’s Tips at 6, is the kind of audio we are asking from our stations.  I look forward to checking it out frequently.

KBCZ Sacramento (Josh Pusateri)http://www.90sbuzz.com.  This site’s specific honor is Josh’s heroic efforts to do very fast turnarounds to get this site launched on time.  He even came in on a day he had schedule for a vacation.   Nice work Josh!

    NICE WORK ALL OF YOU!!!

    Only 15 sites left!

I want to congratulate Tias Schuster, Walter Rachel, the team at 2WD, and the Entercom Digital team on the successful launch of the 2WD music 2.0 site. Check it out at http://www.2wd.com/.

The new site features audio interviews, funny videos, event photos, videos, blogs, contests, and more. This is also the last music 2.0 site for the Norfolk/Virginia Beach/Hampton Roads market. That market is now fully migrated to the new platform. An extra congratulations on this achievement!
